Fluffy, pillowy, soft, and moist matcha marble chiffon cake.
Chiffon cake is a very elegant cake.
Ingredients:
- 3 large egg yolks .
- 75 g (3 oz) sugar .
- 3 tbsp. (40 ml) vegetable oil .
- 4 tbsp. (60 ml) water .
- 75 g (2.6 oz) cake flour .
- 1 heaping tbsp. (10 g) matcha (green tea powder).
- 1 tsp. baking powder .
- 3 large egg whites .
- 17-cm (about 7”) chiffon cake pan.
Recipe:
- Preheat oven to 340 F < whisk egg yolks .
- Add 1/3 of the sugar .
- Add oil and water .
- Whisk until combined .
- Sift (cake flour, matcha and baking powder).
- Add to mixture 3 separate times .
- Fold in until incorporated .
- Whip egg whites on medium low till opaque and foamy.
- Add 1/3 of the remaining sugar .
- After 30 seconds increase speed to high .
- Add remaining sugar slowly and beat for 2 minutes until stiff peak.
- Add 1/3 of beaten egg whites into flour mixture.
- Add another 1/3, add another 1/3 .
- Put it into the chiffon pan .
- Bake 30 minutes , cool cake upside down, ENJOY!
